VINTAGE VERY RARE 1961 PENN SPINFISHER 700 “GREENIE” SPINNING REEL FISHING REEL
This 700 is a Very Rare 1961 First Edition Spinfisher. ***** It is the first spinning reel that Penn ever produced. ***** You can spot these reels because it was the only 700 that had a green handle. In 1962 Penn went with a brass arm and switched to the silver adjustable handle.
- Construction: Full anodized die-cast aluminum housing, side plates, and rotor cup.
- Gear Ratio: 3.8:1, optimized for high-torque cranking power.
- Line Capacity: Typically holds around 300 yards of 20 lb monofilament fishing line.
- Target Species: Built heavily for saltwater surf fishing (such as striped bass) but also utilized for large freshwater species.
