VINTAGE CONOLON 11 FOOT 6 INCH 30 TO 50 POUND CLASS FISHING ROD BLANKS

This is a Vintage Conolon fiberglass fishing rod blank that is uncut measuring approximately 11 foot 6 inches in length. Beautiful one piece fiberglass blank.

This Conolon blank has a butt diameter of 1.09 inches outside diameter and a tip size of 11/64 inches or a #11 tip top.

***** Please note that the tip top in the last picture is not included and is just for visual purposes. *****

It can be used for a surf rod or a jig stick using 30 to 50 pound test line. It has a slow action and is parabolic bending all the way down to the butt section or handle. You can leave it as an 11 foot 6 inch blank or it can easily be cut down to 9 foot in length, whatever you like. Set it up for a spinning reel or a conventional reel up to a 4/0 size reel such as a Penn Special Senator 113H 4/0,              Shimano TLD20, a larger size baitcasting reel like a Daiwa Lexa 400 or Shimano Tranx 400 using 40 pound test line. You can also pair it up with a large spinning reel like a Penn Spinfisher 650SS to 750SS, a Shimano Baitrunner 8000D, a Daiwa BG 8000 or a Mitchell 302 Saltwater spinning reel.

These Conolon blanks have a lot of backbone and are unusually strong. You can pull on these blanks really hard for sure. Great for fishing the iron, live bait and other various lures like poppers and swim baits for Albacore, Bass, Dorado, Grouper, Redfish, , Stripers, Tuna, Wahoo and Yellowtail.
