APPLICATIONS:

This is a candy-apple red Tiburon Engineering N344 (P20W) frame for a Newell 344 or Penn Jigmaster 500 Wide “Yellowfin Special”.

This frame will work with most series of Newell 344 reels made in Glendale or Sun Valley except for the C-series and early S-series reels with “through-the-frame” bolts. Those series of reels will require modifications in order to work with any Tiburon frames.

This red anodized frame will NOT WORK on Penn Jigmaster 500 reels with the factory stock spool. You will need the “Yellowfin Special” spool that was made by Newell many years ago which widened the Penn Jigmaster to 344 (2.75 in) width or purchase the Tiburon P20WS or P20WHS spool.

  • This red frame is machined out of aircraft grade 6061 aluminum, and it has been Type-II hard anodized to prevent corrosion from saltwater.
  •  This frame will also come with a brand new black aluminum Tiburon Engineering clamp kit!
  • Installing one of these frame kits on your Penn Jigmaster 500 Wide “Yellowfin Special” or your Newell 344 reel not only allows you to fish without fear of frame failure due to a buttoned-down drag, but also will make casting and free spool better due to proper alignment of the sideplates and bearings with the centerline of the spool shaft.
