The Newell spools are aerodynamically designed to give you much better free spool and greater line capacity than the stock Penn spools by eliminating the shoulder at the top part of the spool. This kit will transform your stock Penn fishing reel into a custom hot-rodded reel. You will be able to fish 12 to 25 pound test line on your Penn Squidder 146 fishing reel after installing this spool. Great for casting and shallow water bottom fishing.
