NEWELL REELS, SET OF 3 REELS, 338-5,S229-5 AND 338-5, COMPLETELY RECONDITIONED
A great set of 3 Newell reels that were completely disassembled, cleaned and serviced on September 15, 2017. All 3 reels have new carbon fiber or Smoothie drag washers. All the bearings were serviced or replaced as needed. All the internal parts were cleaned by soaking them in a special solvent for a day or 2 and then the gears were greased with Cal’s Universal Reel and Drag Grease. All the other parts were oiled with a light machine oil and Kroil. Mechanically they are a 10 and cosmetically they are an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. These reels operate smooth as silk and are ready to catch lots and lots of fish.
