NEWELL 4:1 RATIO HIGH SPEED STAINLESS STEEL GEAR SET FOR PENN SPECIAL SENATOR 113H 4/0 REELS
This Newell 4 to 1 ratio High Speed Stainless Steel Gear Kit includes the main gear and the pinion gear for the Penn Special Senator 113H, 113HL and 113HLW 4/0 fishing reels. This is a very high quality set of stainless steel gears made by Carl Newell Manufacturing Company. They were designed for the “Yellowtail Special” which is the narrow version of the Penn Special Senator 113H 4/0 fishing reel for fishing the iron for Yellowtail. These gears let you fish jigs at a higher speed giving you more bites and more fish.
These Newell gear sets were installed and tested in a Penn Special Senator 113H 4/0 fishing reel and were found to work great. Please note that since they are brand new gears make sure that you put a good amount of high quality grease on the gears (Cal’s Tan Universal Drag & Reel Grease works great) and crank the reel for several minutes to break in the gears properly.
