- Lightweight dark maroon plastic spool Penn part number 29-145 (A very very small chip on the inside of the lip that is extremely difficult to notice unless you look really closely, that does not effect the functioning of the reel at all)*
- Steel main gear and stainless steel pinion gear
- Reinforced side plates
- Counterbalanced handle with red with yellow swirls colored torpedo knob
- Chrome plated brass exposed metal components
- Stainless steel ball bearings and pinion gear and a high strength steel main gear
- Easy to operate star drag
- Multi-disc star drag
- Steel bridge instead of brass plus steel eccentric jack & steel eccentric
