APPLICATIONS:
This reel is great for fishing for trout in streams, lakes and rivers. 6 weights fly reels are ideal for anglers who often cast when it is windy and love to throw big and heavy flies. For your big dry and dropper combos, the 6 weight will do. Also, fishing in heavy currents and targeting big fish will be great with this reel size.Use 7-weight line for all bass fishing if you want no worries. Also works well for monster trout fishing. Hopeless overkill for average trout and panfish. This line weight is also popular for steelhead and small to medium sized salmon.
