You can use this reel for trolling, throwing live bait, jigging or bottom fishing. A great reel for billfish, tuna, wahoo, yellowtail, grouper, bass, bonito and barracuda. You can also fish for tarpon, king mackeral, dorado and amberjack especially WAHOO !! This reel is very durable reel and needs very little maintenance. This reel is custom built with a very rare and hard to find Newell “Wahoo Special” Conversion Kit which makes the Penn Master Mariner 349 reel extra wide increasing the line capacity by about 35%.
