Description

1991 UPPER DECK HIGH SERIES BASEBALL CARDS BOX OF 20 PACKS WITH 27 CARDS PER PACK

The 1991 Upper Deck Baseball High Series foil packs (cards #701-800) feature a distinct and historically significant selection of chase cards, short prints, and inserts. This specific series helped establish the early 1990s “chase card” phenomenon in the sports card hobby.

KEY CHASE CARDS AND INSERTS:

Short Prints (SPs) & Special Inserts
While some short prints were technically seeded across both series, High Series packs featured prominent opportunities to pull them:
    • Hank Aaron Heroes Subset (#10–18): Aside from the autograph, a standard 9-card subset tracing Aaron’s legendary career was introduced into the High Series print run.
    • Nolan Ryan / Rickey Henderson SP (#NNO): A special unnumbered dual-player card celebrating Nolan Ryan’s 7th no-hitter and Rickey Henderson’s all-time stolen base record.

Key Rookie & Base Cards in the High Series
Because the High Series acted as a late-season update to the 800-card main checklist, it also contained highly sought-after rookie variants: [1]
  • Jeff Bagwell (#755): His true Upper Deck rookie card is found right here in the High Series checklist. It features a famous error variation that accidentally swapped his career strikeout and walk statistics.
  • Pedro Martinez (#2F), Jim Thome (#17F), Ivan Rodriguez (#55F): If you transition from the standard High Series packs to the boxed 1991 Upper Deck Final Edition update set, you will find these iconic Hall of Fame rookie cards.
